Sir Simonds D'Ewes journal, 1642-1645 (inclusive), [microform].

A journal of the Long Parliament, 1642-1645, kept by Sir Simonds D'Ewes, seventeenth century English antiquarian, who was a member of the Long Parliament for the borough of Sudbury. The originals are Harleian MSS 163-166 in the British Library. Also included are typed transcripts of the diary.

British baronet and writer on English history, best known as the compiler of Journals of all the Parliaments during the reign of Queen Elizabeth (published after his death, in 1682). D'Ewes' early diaries formed the basis of College life in the time of James the First (compiled by John Howard Marsden and published in 1841).
